Confession:
I did not love this movie. I wanted to, I really really wanted to, but I didn't.
I spent a good portion of the movie covering my eyes for fear I might vomit, because hand-held camera work and I do not mesh.
Whilst sitting with my eyes closed, I was able to appreciate the music, and I will definitely be getting the soundtrack.
Review: Slightly overdone, way too much camera movement, and amazing music.
It's a great book, so I'll keep it that way.
What did you think?

Oh where do I start?
I DID NOT like the movie. Not even a little bit really. I didn't really even want to see it but Adam's whole family was going so we went along as well.
I think it's full of bad messages. First of all, I felt bad for him when the kids were mean to him and ruined his tunnel. That made me sad. Next, if your kid is speaking to you like this kid speaks to his mother, that's no good. And if he runs away, don't just stop and let him run to who knows where. HELLO? Plus, when he does return, he needs to have a little talk about what kind of actions are appropriate, not just a big piece of cake and adoring looks.
I thought it was depressing. I felt like the Wild Things wanted him to make everything better and nothing ever really got better. Not a lot of conflict resolution of any sort in the whole movie if you ask me.
They did do a great job with the characters though, they looked really similar to the ones in the book. I liked the music too.
Whew, that was long, but there you go! ;)
I can't bring myself to go see it...I haven't heard anything good about it yet!
